Mr. Okereke Chinwike is an International Human Rights and Development Law Expert with over 10 years professional experience in the areas of Drug Law and Policy Reform, Security Sector Governance/Reform, Criminal Justice Sector Reform, Business and Human Rights/Corporate Accounatbility, Health and Human Rights, Law and Sustainable Development, and Gender Justice/Women’s Human Rights.
Mr. Chinwike is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of African Law Foundation (AFRILAW), Nigeria. He is also the Coordinator of the Network on Business, Conflicts and Human Rights (BCHRNetwork), the National Focal Point/Coordinator of the West African Drug Policy Network (WADPN) Nigeria and the National Legal Adviser of Community Intervention Network on Drugs (CIND), Nigeria.
He is M.sc candidate in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC), Enugu. He holds a Law Degree from Faculty of Law of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu, Nigeria and the Nigeria Law School, Abuja; a Post-Graduate Degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC), Enugu; and obained Advanced Human Rights Certificate Course from the Center for Human Rights of the Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, South Africa; Africa Regional Legal Training on Health and Human Rights from Southern Africa Litigation Centre (SALC), South Africa; and West Africa Executive Course on Human Rights and Drug Policy from Faculty of Law, University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Ghana.
